Why do some organizations have large, well-organized student hiring processes while others have small ad-hoc programs?

In today’s business environment, organizations demand clear data and solid arguments to drive decisions to grow their student hiring programs. While some organizations see student hiring as a “nice to have,” others have come to understand the full impact of developing and early growing talent strategically.

In this workshop, we’ll look at the data that early talent teams should be using to grow their programs. We’ll also look at how to use AI tools to help review and find trends in workforce and talent acquisition data and how to present that to business leaders and stakeholders.

Early talent acquisition and development should be a critical component of your organization’s health and fulfilment of its mission. Come learn how to clearly make that case within your company so your student programs can flourish.

AI is rapidly transforming how students navigate the recruiting process. From resumes and cover letters to interview preparation, networking outreach, and career research, today’s candidates have access to tools that are fundamentally changing how they present themselves to employers. As AI becomes increasingly embedded in the candidate experience, many traditional recruiting practices no longer provide the same insights they once did.

Rather than focusing on how to detect or prevent AI use, this interactive workshop will explore a more important question: How should employers adapt their recruiting strategies when AI becomes a standard part of the student toolkit?

Together, we will examine how AI is influencing candidate behavior across the recruiting lifecycle and discuss what this means for employer branding, campus engagement, interviewing, skills assessment, and internship hiring. Participants will explore how organizations can continue to identify potential, assess critical thinking, and build authentic connections with students while maintaining a positive and equitable candidate experience.

For employers hiring student talent, success on campus depends on understanding how schools are prioritizing employer partnerships, student engagement, and recruiting activities.

Employer relations and career teams sit at the intersection of student expectations, institutional priorities, and employer demand — shaping how employers access talent and how recruitment activity unfolds on campus.

In this candid panel discussion, employer relations leaders from post-secondary institutions will share what they’re seeing across their campuses — including shifts in employer engagement, changing student participation patterns, and how schools are prioritizing their efforts.

For employers, this session provides valuable insight into how campus teams are thinking about partnerships, what helps organizations succeed when recruiting students, and where stronger collaboration can make the biggest difference.

The landscape for hiring student and early talent is shifting quickly — and many of the most important questions don’t have simple answers.

These roundtable discussions bring together campus recruitment and early talent professionals to share experiences, compare approaches, and explore how others are navigating today’s hiring environment. Through candid peer conversations, participants will exchange ideas, benchmark strategies, and discuss what’s working — and what isn’t — when it comes to attracting and hiring student talent.

These sessions often surface some of the most practical insights of the Forum, offering a real-time pulse check on how organizations are adapting their campus recruitment strategies.

Examples of topics may include:

  • How campus recruitment strategies are shifting in response to hiring uncertainty
  • What’s working (and not working) to engage students today
  • How AI is affecting student applications and early talent hiring
  • Making the case for campus recruitment internally
  • Deciding where to focus: target schools, programs, and engagement formats
  • Managing campus recruitment with limited time, budget, or team capacity
  • How employers and campuses can work together more effectively
