Note: Due to tied student rankings, these lists may include more than 25 employers.

The Future Workforce Top Employer Awards recognize organizations most highly rated by students in the Brainstorm Student Interests Survey — a national survey of over 24,000 post-secondary students across Canada.

As part of the survey, students select the employers they are most interested in working for. This includes selecting their "Top 5" choices, ranking them in order, and providing feedback on the strengths and weaknesses of each employer. Since each student "votes" for up to 5 employers, the result is more than 90,000 votes and 90,000 evaluations of the strongest employer brands among Canadian students.

The employer brand rankings are just a glimpse into the depth of insights available through The Brainstorm Report – our annual research with over 24,000 university and college students.

This study offers Canada’s most comprehensive analysis of today’s students — covering career goals and intentions, skills development, employer preferences, job search behaviours, educational experiences, media habits, and much more.

With its extensive sample size and granular detail, the research delivers insights into the key traits and interests of students across every diversity group, major, and level of study — from diploma programs to PhDs.

Employers, industry associations, government agencies, and educational institutions rely on these insights to shape marketing and branding initiatives, design career development and training programs, and inform broader strategic decisions.

Access is provided through custom reports tailored to each client’s specific needs.
